What is a Coverlet?

Coverlet is an extra layer of bedding that can be used for warmth or decoration. This accessory can either be made into the bed, between the duvet and the sheet, folded to the foot of the bed, or can also act as a blanket. 

It is best for mild climates as it is lightweight. In winters, a coverlet can work as an additional layer for warmth. It takes little space in the closet compared to quilts and blankets. Furthermore, it is also used as a décor accessory at the foot of your bed. Coverlets are normally made up of linen, cotton, silk, or velvet and come in all types of designs, patterns, or colors that enhance the look of your room.

Coverlets are thin and light, hence, they’re easy to wash and carry as compared to heavy blankets. If you’re in continuous contact with it, you should wash it once a week. It comes with specific production care that specifies machine wash or hand wash to clean.
